The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has declared today, July 22 an action day for elevated levels of ozone. Pollutants are expected to be in the unhealthy range for sensitive groups.
The DEQ is recommending that persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma limit prolonged outdoor exertion. Those with asthma, respiratory illness or who are sensitive to heat extremes may be more impacted by being outdoors.
