Melissa Pynnonen appointed to Michigan Board of Speech Language Pathology

Melissa A. Pynnonen, M.D., of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, was appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder to the Michigan Board of Speech Language Pathology. The 11-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with regulating the licensure and practice of speech-language pathologists.

Pynnonen is an associate professor or otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and director of the department’s Health Services Research Program. She is also a consulting physician for the Veteran’s Administration Ann Arbor Healthcare System. She previously served as co-director of the Michigan Sinus Center.
