The Cancer Surveillance and Outcomes Research Team will hold its research and strategic planning retreat at the North Campus Research Complex on Tuesday, Jan.22, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss early successes and future directions on the National Cancer Institute P01 award “The Challenge of Individualizing Treatments for Patients with Breast Cancer." The P01 is led by Steven J. Katz, M.D., M.P.H. (PI) and project and core leaders from across the UM campus (Lawrence An, M.D.; Jennifer J. Griggs, M.D.; Sarah T. Hawley, Ph.D; Tim Hofer, M.D.; Reshma Jagsi, M.D.; Nancy K. Janz, Ph.D.; and Yun Li, Ph.D).
Commitments to the overall CanSORT mission and organizational plan will be renewed. Collaborating and consulting faculty members from across the United States will attend. Institutions include the University of Southern California, Emory University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of North Carolina, and Wayne State University.
